Welcome to the world of Captain Toronto, an underground comic set in the heart of Toronto. Quintino, also known as Captain Toronto, is an unconventional hero—an anti-superhero. Lacking any superpowers and grappling with constant fear, he nonetheless risks his life to save his beloved teddy bear. Captain Toronto is the kind of comic I always wanted to read—a blend of horror and absurd comedy. It inhabits a unique space where the fear of monsters collides with the innocence of teddy bears. Originally written ten years ago, I rediscovered, reimagined and reworked it in Spring 2024.
